Community Camera Monitoring and Policing
As a part of its ongoing commitment to the residents of the Queensborough Gardens community and in part fulfillment of the Strategic Goals set forward by the Executive for the 2022-2024 period, the Community Camera Monitoring and Policing activity has been launched.
This action intends to raise the approximately JMD $850,000 required to purchase and install eight (8) professional outdoor cameras to monitor entry and exit from the community. This cost will also cover the operation of the cameras for 1 year.
The cameras will become a part of the Ministry of National Security’s JamaicaEye program, and therefore be monitored 24/7 by the Jamaica police force.
The members of the QGCA Executive will be going from door-to-door hanging communication to announce the program on residents’ gates. Feel free to ask any additional questions about the program at that time.
