Vision
A s.m.a.r.t. and s.e.c.u.r.e. community.
The Executive of the Queensborough Gardens Community Association have listened keenly to its members – across age groups and financial status and we believe that as a community, the residents are seeking a space that is:
ST.E.A.M.-focused – Activities meant to engage our citizenry should always promote Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics.
Meshed – The entire community should have secure access to the Internet through a community-wide mesh network.
Advancing – Change within the community ought to be a priority and therefore tracked through key performance metrics to ensure growth continues.
Representative – Queensborough must become a clearly defined space where all within its boundaries are represented and catered to.
Transparent – Measurement, reporting and access to those reports must become commonplace and characteristics of the Association and its leadership.

Safe – Mechanisms must be put in place to extending beyond the feeling and into the assurance that the community, to include both its shared and private spaces, are free from immediate risk.
Engaging – WE are responsible for our spaces and our welfare. We are therefore taking ownership and becoming actively involved in making sure that our community and fellow residents thrive!
Care-FULL – A wise man once told his brightest pupil – “People will not care about how much you know, until they know about how much you care.” This “care-FIRST” approach will be adopted as welfare and special attention programs are rolled out to ensure every resident feels like they belong to a larger community.
Unthreatened – Through shared-ownership and deeper integration into its surrounding environs, we will strive to reduce the perceived threat to the residents our community by ensuring we “live good” with our neighbours.
Responsive – Ensuring there is a feedback loop in place to allow residents not only the opportunity to voice their ideas and concerns, but also to see and feel the result of their sharing is critical to a sustained sense of community – and is a priority within this framework.
Equitable – Queensborough is a community where all opportunities are equally accessible to all residents. Come, grow and fulfil your best self with us!
Over the next 5 years, the Executive intends to use this knowledge to shape and direct its activities, ensuring the livelihood and comfort of all involved.
Mission
To provide a sense of peace and facilitate every community member’s ability to achieve more.
The Executive believes the work plan developed will bring the community closer to the vision, and that the 5 articulated Strategic Goals will adequately serve to guide the design and decision on activities.

Strategic Goals
Emerging from the Vision and Mission, the Executive have identified five (5) work areas of priority. They are to:
- Improve the administration, operation and accountability of the Executive
- Rapidly respond to citizen-raised issues
- Strengthen the community’s ability to monitor and respond to threats
- Increase citizen welfare and engagement
- Develop the sustainability of the community through self-sufficiency and environmental stewardship

Queensborough Gardens is a community of over 200 households. We recognize the hardship and frustration rampant within our country and have decided to actively work together towards creating and maintaining a s.m.a.r.t. and s.e.c.u.r.e. community.
